The proper size cartridge must be used. Please only use official Hit-Air branded CO2 Cartridges.
Using the wrong cartridge could cause airbag system to malfunction or be damaged.
Hit-Air jackets and vests come with an allen wrench and setting bolt which are needed to change the CO2 cartridges. This is a simple procedure, instructions are here.
The cartridges will last indefinitely, but should be replaced with the first
sign of rust or surface deterioration.

Upgraded Hi-Speed Keybox and C02 Cartridge Bundle

In 2010, Hit-Air introduced the new Hi-Speed keybox for the B-type keybox. The new system inflates the airbag twice as fast as the older system. If your keybox is solid black, it is the older system. The new keybox is gray in color. Older jackets and vests can be easily retrofitted with the new system, though doing so does void the warranty for that portion of the jacket (unless you send your jacket/vest to us and have us do it). We suggest buying a spare Co2 cartridge and testing the system after the upgrade. Please refer to this instructional video to see what's involved in performing the upgrade.
